InterXchange is a service from Xchangeteam, aimed at providing organisations
with skilled English-speaking consultants, originally from overseas but with no previous
UK experience.
InterXchange gives companies' access to pre-vetted professionals with
a minimum of two years experience in one or more of our sectors and from markets other than the UK.
The consultants will be placed on an initial two-week ‘fee-free’ assignment
and paid £50 per day directly by the hiring organisation.
After the second week the organisation is given the option to extend the
assignment and can also take the consultant on permanently. At this
point the consultant is paid the ‘going’
market day rate or salary.
A solution to the skills shortage
The service aims to address the severe skills shortage that has been
reported across the board in marketing and creative services, especially
at the middle management level. For whilst there is a huge pool of talented
consultants in the UK, originally from overseas, that could dramatically
reduce the skills shortage - they aren’t currently being utilised
by organisations due to a perceived lack of contacts or UK experience. Our own research has shown that over 60% of respondents
struggled to get work initially as employers cited a lack of UK experience
and 40% said recruiters wouldn’t put them forward for suitable
opportunities.
InterXchange is a unique option which gives organisations access to great
